About this role

Role Overview

Apply senior U.S. litigation expertise to help evaluate and improve next-generation AI systems through realistic, complex commercial-dispute simulations. This remote contractor role focuses on translating practical legal judgment, litigation strategy, and adversarial reasoning into high-quality training and evaluation materials. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create realistic multi-turn litigation scenarios, including case facts, parties, legal issues, procedural posture, and initiating documents.
  • Direct junior legal contributors producing briefs, motions, discovery strategy documents, and demand letters, ensuring rigorous and well-reasoned work.
  • Review and approve junior and peer-level work throughout each dispute simulation as a neutral evaluator.
  • Create and refine litigation-stage rubrics that convert practical legal standards into clear AI evaluation criteria.
  • Identify ambiguities, edge cases, and procedural complexities that test AI performance, and provide actionable feedback to the project team.
  • Collaborate with team leads and legal peers as project specifications and scenario requirements develop.
  • Use only public or synthetic materials and never include client-confidential information.
Qualifications
  • Active or lapsed bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least 10 years of hands-on U.S. litigation experience, including courtroom advocacy, discovery, motion practice, and case-team leadership.
  • Deep expertise in commercial contract disputes, shareholder or LLC disputes, or commercial real estate litigation. Experience across multiple areas is preferred.
  • Command of the full litigation lifecycle, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and resolution strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, formal legal drafting ability, litigation strategy, adversarial reasoning, and U.S. law knowledge.
  • A demonstrated ability to review and direct junior legal work to a high professional standard without personally redrafting it.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, remote-first environment and calibrating with a diverse group of legal experts.
Work Terms
  • Remote contractor engagement open to candidates located in the United States.
  • Roles are typically filled within 48 hours, so candidates should be ready to begin promptly.
  • Selected candidates are expected to begin initial tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing required setup.
Compensation

$100 to $150 per hour.

Application Process

Submit an application to be considered. Candidates who are selected will complete the required setup before receiving their first tasks.
