About this role

Role Overview

Lead the design, drafting, and optimization of contract playbooks and commercial agreements to support the training of next-generation AI systems. This document-driven contractor role focuses on producing high-quality contractual materials, annotations, and negotiation guidance that improve how models learn and reason. Prior AI experience is not required, domain expertise in corporate contracting is what matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, review, and refine contract negotiation playbooks based on diverse real-world scenarios and company requirements.
  • Draft, analyze, and annotate a range of commercial agreements, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to relevant standards.
  • Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management, negotiation strategies, and risk assessment.
  • Curate and supply non-confidential, eligible transaction materials to support the project’s documentation and training objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing contract templates, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure materials meet project guidelines and AI-training needs.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal feedback to enhance system understanding and outputs.
Qualifications
  • Current or prior experience as a General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel, with a strong focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
  • Proven expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management within corporate environments.
  • Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks tailored for companies.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard practices for contract review, template management, and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and clarity.
  • Comfort with document-driven project assignments, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
  • Ability to work independently and produce concise, actionable insights for AI training purposes.
  • No prior experience in AI required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type, contractor, remote.
  • Document-driven assignment, you will be directly responsible for sourcing and supplying eligible transaction materials.
  • Collaboration with the project team to ensure materials meet guidelines; deliverables include drafted and annotated agreements, playbooks, and expert feedback.
Compensation

$90.00 to $130.00 per hour.

  • No confidential, NDA-protected, proprietary, or material nonpublic information will be accepted.
