Role Overview
This role applies legal expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems by producing high-quality, real-world legal input. You will conduct research, interpret regulations and contracts, and produce concise legal reasoning that shapes how models learn, reason, and perform. No prior experience in AI is required; domain knowledge and strong legal analysis are the priorities. micro1 is an AI data lab that converts subject matter expertise into training data and evaluations across domains including finance, healthcare, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal scenarios across multiple practice areas.
- Review contracts, regulatory filings, and other legal documents for compliance and accuracy.
- Interpret laws, regulations, and policies to support structured legal evaluations.
- Prepare concise written summaries and legal reasoning for case-based scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve legal workflows and documentation standards.
- Identify inconsistencies, legal risks, and compliance gaps within legal materials.
- Maintain strict attention to detail and confidentiality in all work.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research, contract analysis, or regulatory interpretation.
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical reasoning abilities.
- Familiarity with legal compliance standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working remotely.
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working remotely with distributed legal or compliance teams.
- Prior involvement in litigation support, compliance reviews, or legal operations initiatives.

- Pay range: $15.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- No prior AI experience required, subject matter legal expertise is primary.
