Role Overview

Provide expert fund-focused legal review and contract redlining to improve state-of-the-art AI systems that evaluate and interpret investment fund documentation. This part-time contractor role combines hands-on drafting and negotiation simulations with objective evaluation of AI outputs to raise model accuracy in identifying legal risk and interpreting fund agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises focused on fund-related documents.
  • Review and assess AI-generated responses to contract scenarios, delivering detailed expert feedback to improve model performance and precision.
  • Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to measure AI performance on contract review and negotiation tasks with rigor and consistency.
  • Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
  • Familiarity with standard fund and M&A agreements, including LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
  • Demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology and experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Compensation

Pay range, $80.00 to $105.00 per hour.

Eligibility
  • Candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be actively admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a corporate law firm funds department is required.
