Role Overview

Provide seasoned funds-focused legal expertise to improve how advanced AI systems read, evaluate, and negotiate investment-related contracts. In this part-time contractor role you will draft and redline agreements, simulate negotiations, and give precise legal feedback that trains and refines AI models for fund formation and fund management workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises that reflect real-world fund transactions.
  • Review and assess AI-generated responses to contract scenarios, identifying errors, gaps, and practical risk considerations.
  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve model outputs and legal judgment on fund-related documents.
  • Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to measure AI performance on contract tasks with consistency and rigor.
  • Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
  • Familiarity with standard fund and M&A-related agreements, including limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters.
  • Demonstrated skills in contract redlining and contract negotiations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback for AI systems and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Preferred, but not required, prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type, independent contractor.

  • Work will center on reviewing, assessing, and contributing to contract redlining workflows used to train and evaluate AI models.
Compensation

Hourly rate range: $90.00 to $130.00 per hour.

Eligibility
  • Must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically within a corporate law firm''s funds department is required.
