Role Overview
Apply litigation expertise to improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality legal analysis, research, evaluation, and feedback. This remote contract role focuses on helping AI systems learn to reason about document review, discovery, case strategy, and motion practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement legal rubrics for AI-driven document review and analysis.
- Conduct detailed legal research and prepare complex memoranda to support AI training and evaluation.
- Review large volumes of litigation materials to identify issues, trends, and data points relevant to model improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to turn legal insights into actionable AI-development requirements.
- Evaluate the quality and accuracy of AI outputs and provide feedback to strengthen discovery-management and motion-practice capabilities.
- Develop case-strategy and motion-practice templates for legal machine-learning contexts.
- Regularly refine rubric criteria to reflect evolving legal standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of litigation experience, including management of document-intensive matters through discovery and dispositive motions.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, issue-spotting, and document-analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing case strategy and handling motion practice.
- Experience managing discovery and complex legal document-review projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, close attention to detail, and comfort working in a remote, digital-first environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Law review or journal editorial experience, including substantive editing, cite-checking, and scholarly legal publication review.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $100 to $150 per hour.
