Role Overview
Apply criminal defense expertise to a legal innovation project that helps train next-generation AI systems. You will provide high-quality, real-world legal analysis and feedback that shapes how models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex criminal law scenarios and develop detailed resolution frameworks.
- Draft, review, and refine legal materials, including pleadings, motions, and trial strategies.
- Review case materials to identify legal issues, arguments, and procedural considerations.
- Assess ethical issues in criminal defense practice and define best practices for AI learning modules.
- Provide expert commentary on trial advocacy methods and courtroom procedures.
- Create realistic simulation exercises based on criminal defense practice for AI model training.
- Collaborate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to maintain accurate, relevant deliverables.
Qualifications
- Extensive criminal defense experience at a BigLaw or other major law firm.
- Demonstrated litigation and trial advocacy experience in complex criminal matters.
- Strong criminal law knowledge, legal writing, case analysis, reasoning, and ethical judgment.
- Deep understanding of ethical standards and best practices in criminal defense.
- Experience reviewing, preparing, or teaching case strategy and procedural safeguards.
- Familiarity with technology-assisted legal research and digital case-management tools.
- A record of contributing to professional development, legal education, or innovation initiatives.
Work Terms
- Remote independent contractor engagement.
Compensation
- $140 to $400 per hour.
