About this role

Role Overview

Apply your legal expertise to improve how AI systems understand and reason about legal topics. You will review content for accuracy, answer domain-specific questions, and provide practical feedback that helps make AI tools more reliable and useful in legal contexts. This is a flexible, part-time role, fully remote, with the opportunity to continue and expand over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in your legal specialty for accuracy and quality.
  • Answer questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback grounded in professional experience.
  • Identify and recommend reference materials that are useful and authoritative for your field.
  • Describe real-world legal tools, workflows, and professional standards you and your colleagues rely on day to day.
  • Collaborate with a small group of subject-matter experts across different domains to refine guidance and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Admitted to a United States state bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional legal experience, preferably across multiple practice areas such as contracts, litigation, regulatory or compliance, corporate, or intellectual property.
  • Comfortable researching and writing using standard legal tools and references, including case law databases, statutes, and treatises.
  • Some experience authoring legal content such as memoranda, briefs, CLE materials, or similar is a plus.
  • Familiarity with everyday AI tools, for example ChatGPT or similar, and comfortable using them in your workflow.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Based in the United States.
  • A legal librarian background is a plus but not required.
Work Terms
  • Location: Fully remote, United States based.
  • Expected commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
  • Engagement type: Hourly employment, part-time.
  • Employment relationship: Cincinnatus LLC serves as the employer of record, providing W-2 employment, payroll administration, benefits, and compliance for the placement.
  • Opportunity to continue and grow the engagement over time, subject to project needs and mutual agreement.
Compensation
  • Pay rate: $65 to $90 per hour.
Eligibility
  • Must be admitted to a United States state bar.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Must be able to work as a W-2 employee for a United States employer, as the placement is administered through Cincinnatus LLC.
  • Must be able to reliably commit to about 10 hours per week.
