Civil Rights Attorney for AI Model Training

Apply your civil rights law expertise to analyze, explain, and annotate real-world legal materials that will be used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor role focuses on producing high-quality legal input, realistic scenarios, and careful reviews of AI outputs to ensure legal accuracy, ethical compliance, and practical usefulness. No prior experience in AI is required; subject matter expertise in civil rights law is the priority.

• Review, analyze, and annotate legal documents and case studies related to civil rights law.
• Develop detailed explanations of legal concepts, statutes, and precedents within the civil rights domain.
• Draft and refine realistic scenarios, queries, and model responses that simulate authentic civil rights legal situations.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, legal soundness, and ethical compliance, and provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Research and summarize emerging trends, case law updates, and policy developments affecting civil rights.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical team members through clear written and verbal communication.
• Ensure all contributions meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and practical applicability.

• Required skills: civil rights law, legal research and analysis, legal writing, case law analysis, statutory interpretation, policy analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration.
• Juris Doctor degree with active bar membership in the United States is preferred.
• Substantial experience practicing in civil rights law, including litigation or policy analysis, is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying complex legal ideas to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with landmark civil rights cases, federal and state statutes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex legal information and present it in accessible formats.
• Interest in technology and artificial intelligence is a plus, but not required.

• Engagement type: Independent contractor role, fully remote.
• Work contributes to training and evaluating AI systems for a client focused on advancing technology and legal understanding.
• No prior AI experience required; domain expertise in civil rights law is the key qualification.

• Pay rate: $140 to $400 per hour, paid on an hourly basis.

• Preferred: JD degree and active United States bar membership. Substantial civil rights practice experience is preferred.
