Civil Rights Attorney, BigLaw Firms

Apply civil rights law expertise to help train next generation AI systems through high quality, real world legal analysis. This remote independent contractor opportunity centers on a client focused civil rights law project; prior AI experience is not required.

• Analyze and interpret complex civil rights statutes, regulations, and case law for relevance and accuracy.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare summaries, memoranda, and analyses addressing key legal issues and precedents.
• Create and review realistic civil rights scenarios, hypotheticals, and legal problems for AI model development.
• Evaluate AI generated legal analyses, provide expert feedback, and verify alignment with legal standards.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to clarify legal concepts, resolve ambiguities, and maintain input quality.
• Develop clear, concise, accurate legal content for varied learning contexts.
• Identify emerging civil rights law trends and potential risks related to AI and technology platforms.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
• Substantial civil rights law practice experience, preferably from prominent BigLaw firms.
• Strong record of legal research, legal writing, and case law analysis in complex, high stakes matters.
• Excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret statutes and policies and explain legal concepts to non legal audiences.
• Experience in multidisciplinary or technology driven environments is preferred.
• Interest in law, policy, emerging technology, AI, and AI''s societal impacts.

• $140 to $400 per hour.
