Role Overview

Provide expert criminal law knowledge to create, review, and refine legal content used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. In this remote, contract role you will analyze real-world legal materials, author and annotate sample scenarios, and assess AI outputs for legal accuracy, clarity, and ethical compliance. No prior AI experience is required, your domain expertise is the core requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze legal documents, court filings, and case materials to supply subject matter input for AI development.
  • Draft, edit, and annotate sample criminal law scenarios, arguments, and legal opinions for training data.
  • Evaluate AI-generated text for legal accuracy, clarity, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
  • Identify and flag nuanced legal concepts, procedural issues, and emerging criminal law topics to improve model learning.
  • Summarize complex legal information into clear, actionable feedback for technical and project teams.
  • Collaborate remotely with project managers and technical contributors to clarify requirements and deliverables.
  • Stay current with relevant statutes, case law, and procedural updates to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in criminal law and criminal procedure.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing court filings, case files, and other legal documents.
  • Strong legal writing, editing, and legal document analysis skills, including the ability to distill complex legal concepts into precise, accessible language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and sound ethical judgment.
  • Ability to provide concise, actionable feedback on written materials.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration and adaptability to digital platforms and workflows.
  • Preferred: Licensed to practice law, with substantial experience representing clients in criminal matters, either in prosecution or defense.
  • Interest in legal technology or prior interdisciplinary project experience is a plus.
Work Terms

  • Collaboration will occur remotely with project managers and technical team members; familiarity with digital collaboration tools is expected.

Compensation
