Role Overview
Record natural, expressive Canadian French voice samples that help train and evaluate text-to-speech systems for an internal customer-experience AI agent. Your recordings will be used only for this specific internal use case and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for another product, dataset, or purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Record high-quality samples for conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts.
- Deliver clear, natural speech with strong control of tone, pacing, pronunciation, intonation, diction, and emotional range.
- Maintain consistent voice, accent, and delivery across sessions.
- Follow recording requirements for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- Complete multiple takes with different emotions, emphasis, and styles when needed.
Qualifications
- Native Canadian French speaker currently based in Canada, able to deliver neutral international French without a strong regional accent.
- Clear, expressive voice. Voice acting, narration, or broadcast experience is valued but not required.
- Professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet space, and pop filter.
- Ability to follow scripts accurately while preserving a natural delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets.
- Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or similar audio-editing tools.
- Ability to perform multiple vocal styles, such as conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm.
Work Terms
- Remote, hourly engagement.
- One recording session of approximately 4 hours.
- A second session of similar length may be available later based on client needs.
- This is an ongoing, rolling opportunity, and applications remain open as new voices are onboarded.
Compensation
$50 per hour.
