Role Overview
Provide high-quality voice recordings to train and evaluate a next-generation text-to-speech system for a client''s internal customer experience AI agent. This role requires a natural African American English delivery, consistent and expressive performance across varied script types, and professional-grade audio captured in a quiet environment. Your recordings will be used solely for the client''s internal CX AI Agent and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for other products or datasets.
Key Responsibilities- Record clear, natural, and expressive voice samples across diverse scripts, including conversational, narrative, and instructional material
- Control tone, pacing, and pronunciation to achieve natural-sounding performance
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across multiple recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording and file formatting guidelines, including microphone setup and environment requirements
- Perform multiple takes with variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when requested
- Must be based in the United States and deliver a natural African American English voice
- Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, for example a quality microphone, quiet room, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while keeping a natural delivery
- Reliable availability over the project duration to complete scheduled recording sessions
- Important: Your voice may be cloned for use in the client''s CX AI Agent, please apply only if you consent to voice cloning for this specific use case
- Experience recording for text-to-speech, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles, for example conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm
- Location: Remote, United States based performers only
- Employment type: Hourly engagement
- Availability: Reliable availability required during the project period for scheduled recording sessions
- $50 per hour
