Role Overview
Provide high-quality, consistent French voice recordings to train and evaluate a customer experience AI agent''s text-to-speech system. This project requires a neutral, standard French delivery, expressive control, and technical recording quality. Recordings will be used exclusively for the client''s internal CX AI Agent and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for any other product, dataset, or purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Record clear, natural, and expressive speech across varied scripts, including conversational, narrative, and instructional material
- Maintain consistent voice, accent, tone, pacing, and pronunciation across sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Deliver multiple takes when requested, providing variations in emotion, emphasis, and style
- Ensure audio meets quality expectations for training and evaluation of TTS models
- Native or native-level French speaker with a standard, neutral, accent-free French delivery, no strong regional accent and no foreign-language influence
- Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting
- Access to a professional or near professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet treatment, and accessories such as a pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range, and the ability to follow scripts precisely while sounding natural
- Reliable availability of 5 to 10 hours per week over the project duration
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning, as your recorded voice may be cloned for the client''s CX AI Agent; recordings will not be reused outside this specific use case
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Familiarity with audio editing tools, such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles, for example conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm
- Remote role, location does not matter provided delivery is neutral, standard French
- Hourly engagement, with a typical commitment of 5 to 10 hours per week over the project duration
- Must adhere to provided recording guidelines and maintain consistency across recording sessions
Hourly rate range: 50 - 100 hourly.
