Role Overview
Record natural, expressive American English voice samples that support the development and evaluation of text-to-speech systems for an internal customer experience AI agent. Your recordings will be used only for this specific internal CX AI Agent use case and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for another product, dataset, or purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Record high-quality samples from conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts.
- Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with controlled tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
- Maintain consistent voice, accent, and delivery throughout recording sessions.
- Follow recording instructions for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- Provide multiple takes with appropriate variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when requested.
Qualifications
- Native American English speaker currently located in the United States.
- Clear, natural, expressive voice and strong intonation, diction, and emotional range.
- Ability to follow scripts accurately while keeping delivery natural.
- Professional or near-professional home recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet recording environment, and pop filter.
- Prior voice acting, narration, or broadcast experience is welcomed but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets.
- Familiarity with audio-editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
- Ability to perform multiple vocal styles, including conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm.
Work Terms
- Remote, hourly engagement.
- Initial commitment is one recording session of approximately 4 hours.
- A further session of similar length may be available later based on client needs.
- This is an ongoing opening, with voices added on a rolling basis. Submit an application to be considered for available recording opportunities.
Compensation
$50 to $150 per hour.
