Mechanical Simulation and CAE Engineer for AI Training

Apply deep mechanical simulation and CAE expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through practical, real-world engineering workflows. This remote contractor opportunity is designed for STEM professionals who use AI coding agents as part of complex technical work; prior AI experience is not required.

• Provide detailed walkthroughs of using AI coding agents, including Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, for complex mechanical engineering simulation and CAE work.
• Document real-world uses of AI agents for navigating large codebases, debugging difficult issues, and developing end-to-end engineering solutions.
• Analyze engineering problems, design challenges, and architectural changes addressed through AI-generated code sequences.
• Provide written and verbal feedback on the performance and limitations of AI tools in mechanical simulation and CAE contexts.
• Curate representative scenarios that demonstrate advanced AI-agent workflows, with an emphasis on coding sequence generation rather than chatbot-style interactions.
• Explain the approach, rationale, and technical complexity behind selected examples to produce actionable input for AI training.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and communicate findings clearly through designated channels.

• Extensive hands-on experience in simulation- and CAE-intensive mechanical engineering assignments.
• Proficiency using Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork as coding sequence generators in technical scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI agents to sophisticated engineering challenges, including ambiguous requirements, large-scale debugging, and architectural overhauls.
• Strong problem-solving, workflow-analysis, technical-documentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience translating complex technical workflows into concise documentation and actionable feedback.
• Active involvement in current STEM fields and practical use of AI agents in engineering problem-solving.
• Familiarity with AI-driven engineering tools and a track record of experimenting with and adapting to new technologies.
