About this role
Build original competitive programming environments that help evaluate and train next-generation AI systems. You will create challenging, custom problems, reference solutions, and rigorous test suites that measure an AI model''s ability to solve complex programming tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Create unique competitive programming problems that are not available on existing online judges.
- Develop reference solutions and robust test suites for each problem.
- Design and implement accurate, resilient C++ checkers for problems that allow multiple valid outputs.
- Evaluate and validate submissions against complex problem statements, including problems from platforms such as Codeforces.
- Work with the customer team to refine problem requirements and resolve ambiguous scenarios.
- Write clear, maintainable C++ code that efficiently handles varied outputs and edge cases.
- Document checker logic, communicate technical nuances and edge cases in writing and conversation, and provide feedback to problem setters and reviewers on test cases and checkers.
- Apply current competitive programming standards and checker-development best practices.
- Strong competitive programming and coding-problem analysis expertise.
- Advanced C++ proficiency, including the ability to build robust checker solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex constraints and multiple solution paths.
- Clear written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to code validation and output consistency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting and deliver high-quality, well-documented code under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience as a problem setter, tester, or checker on major competitive programming platforms is preferred.
- No prior AI experience is required.
- Remote independent contractor engagement.
- Commitment of at least 15 hours per week.
