About this role
Role Overview
Build and refine 3D game simulations and environments that provide high-quality, real-world input for training next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role applies your Panda3D, Python, and C++ expertise to work that helps improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize 3D game simulations and environments in Panda3D for AI training applications.
- Translate requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement, maintain, and debug Python and C++ codebases integrated with Panda3D.
- Use GitHub version-control workflows, including code management, branching, and pull requests.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility and strong performance across diverse hardware configurations.
- Document architecture, code, and development processes clearly.
- Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on Panda3D development experience. Experience with similar engines does not substitute for Panda3D experience.
- Advanced Python and C++ programming skills.
- Strong knowledge of 3D graphics pipelines, simulation logic, and cross-platform development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and bring strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Game development experience supporting AI, simulation, or training use cases.
- Experience optimizing 3D assets for performance across varied hardware.
- Experience working in collaborative, distributed Agile environments.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $50 to $120 per hour.
