About this role
Apply emergency communications expertise to help train and evaluate AI systems for high-stakes communication environments. This remote contract role draws on real-world dispatch experience to improve how AI systems interpret, prioritize, and respond to incident information. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process incoming requests and incidents across radio, telephone, and digital communication channels.
- Use established protocols and checklists to collect information, assess urgency, and enter accurate data.
- Prioritize and triage multiple active requests while remaining composed and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Coordinate and route requests to the appropriate field resources and agencies according to established procedures.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately in written records and verbal interactions.
- Contribute domain expertise to AI training, evaluation, protocol review, and feedback processes that support continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in police dispatch, emergency communications, or a comparable high-stakes coordination environment.
- APCO or NENA certification is preferred.
- Ability to manage competing requests, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including in stressful or uncertain circumstances.
- Experience applying standardized protocols or checklists for consistent, reliable request handling.
- Familiarity with digital communication platforms and information-management systems used in dispatch or emergency coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement, and ability to provide insights that strengthen AI learning and evaluation.

- $30 to $55 per hour.
