Contribute mechanical engineering expertise to create high-quality assessment content that helps train next-generation AI systems. You will convert advanced mechanical engineering concepts into clear, single-choice questions and documented answer rationales that emphasize technical rigor, real-world applicability, and instructional clarity. No prior AI experience is required, your domain knowledge and technical writing skills are the priority.
Key Responsibilities- Create clear, accurate single-choice questions grounded in mechanical engineering principles for AI training applications.
- Develop assessment content across one or more domains, including Solid and Structural Mechanics, Dynamics, Vibration and Control, and Thermal-Fluids.
- Document detailed rationales and explanations for answer choices to support AI training datasets.
- Ensure technical correctness, relevance, and practical applicability in every item produced.
- Perform quality assurance on submitted materials, revise content based on feedback, and follow project milestones.
- Maintain precise records of assignments and submissions using the provided digital workflow tools.
- Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and other contributors to meet delivery expectations.
- Required skills and experience: mechanical engineering subject-matter expertise, solid mechanics, structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration and control, thermal-fluids, technical writing, and assessment or educational content creation.
- Proven ability to translate complex mechanical engineering principles into clear written content, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to technical accuracy, with experience in quality assurance or review preferred.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote contractor engagement.
- Familiarity with collaborative online platforms and digital workflow tools is a plus.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in one or more of Solid and Structural Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibration and Control, or Thermal-Fluids.
