Apply mechanical engineering expertise to create rigorous assessment content that helps train next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor opportunity focuses on translating real-world engineering knowledge into clear, accurate materials. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities- Create clear, accurate single-choice questions based on mechanical engineering concepts.
- Develop accessible assessment content in Solid and Structural Mechanics, Dynamics, Vibration and Control, and/or Thermal-Fluids.
- Maintain technical rigor, relevance, and real-world applicability.
- Document rationales and explanations for answer choices to support training datasets.
- Work remotely with project coordinators and meet content-delivery milestones.
- Review, revise, and quality-check contributed materials using feedback.
- Maintain accurate assignment and submission records in provided digital tools.
- PhD or MS in Mechanical Engineering, with specialization in Solid and Structural Mechanics, Dynamics, Vibration and Control, and/or Thermal-Fluids.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex mechanical engineering principles into clear written content.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in educational content creation, assessment design, or technical writing is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with collaborative online platforms or digital workflow tools is a plus.
- Remote independent-contractor engagement.
- Work is output-based, with payment tied to tasks that meet project specifications. Completion time varies by experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks submitted each week.
- Roles are typically filled within 48 hours; selected candidates should be ready to begin promptly.
$50 to $70 per hour advertised compensation range, with task-based payment for work that meets project specifications.
