Role Overview
Contribute mechanical engineering expertise to create high-quality assessment content used to train next-generation AI systems. You will convert advanced engineering knowledge into clear single-choice questions and documented rationales that preserve technical rigor and real-world relevance.
Key Responsibilities- Create clear, accurate single-choice questions rooted in mechanical engineering concepts for AI training.
- Translate advanced topics into accessible assessment content in one or more areas: Solid and Structural Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibration and Control, or Thermal-Fluids.
- Provide detailed rationales and explanations for correct and incorrect answer choices to support model training.
- Ensure technical rigor, relevance, and real-world applicability in every item produced.
- Perform quality checks and revise materials based on reviewer feedback.
- Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and meet established milestones for content delivery.
- Maintain precise records of assignments and submissions using provided digital workflow tools.
- Required domain knowledge in mechanical engineering, including one or more of the following: solid mechanics, structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration and control, or thermal-fluids.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex mechanical engineering principles into clear written content.
- Experience with technical writing, educational content creation, assessment design, or quality assurance is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote engagement.
- Familiarity with collaborative online platforms and digital workflow tools is a plus.
- Advanced degrees preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a relevant specialization.
- Engagement type: Contractor, fully remote.
- Compensation is output-based, experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications.
- Listed hourly rate range: $50 to $70 per hour.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, experts must submit a minimum number of tasks per week.
- Time to complete each task may vary with experience and individual workflow.
- Start timeline: roles are typically filled within 48 hours. If selected, you should be prepared to begin your first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
Pay range: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour. Payment is task-based, with payment issued for tasks that meet project specifications. Minimum submission requirements and task acceptance criteria apply.
Eligibility- No prior AI experience is required; deep domain expertise in mechanical engineering is the primary qualification.
- Must be able to work remotely and follow digital workflow processes for assignment tracking and submission.
- Must be able to meet the onboarding and start timeline described above if selected.
