Your domain knowledge will be used to generate high quality, real-world input that trains and evaluates next generation AI systems. This is a remote contractor role for experts who can provide detailed technical guidance, critiques, and explanatory material in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Provide detailed mechanical design input, including component and assembly modeling using advanced CAD tools.
- Evaluate and critique engineering drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and conformance with GD&T standards.
- Assess designs for manufacturability, perform tolerance analysis, and recommend DFM improvements.
- Offer technical insight on engineering mechanics, tribology, and geometric modeling challenges encountered in real-world applications.
- Review and improve graphics and geometric modeling representations for mechanical assemblies and systems.
- Advise on manufacturing engineering best practices and help simulate realistic design scenarios.
- Create clear written and verbal explanations of mechanical engineering concepts to support AI model training and evaluation.
- Required skills: Mechanical design, CAD.
- BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred, with a strong academic foundation.
- Substantial hands-on experience in production design, including applied GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX, and demonstrated 3D modeling expertise.
- Strong understanding of tribology, engineering mechanics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and knowledge of end-to-end product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly.
- CSWP or CSWE certification is a plus.
- Role type: Contractor.
- Location: Remote.
- Work will involve contributing task-based deliverables that meet project specifications.
- Compensation is output based, paid per completed task that satisfies project requirements. The time to complete tasks will vary by expert and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.
- Pay range: $66 to $130 per hour, reflected in task-based pay rates depending on assignment complexity and output.
- No prior experience in AI is required, subject matter expertise in mechanical design and CAD is the priority.
- Candidates must be available to begin quickly. Roles are typically filled within 48 hours, and if selected you should be ready to start your first tasks within 24, 48 hours of completing onboarding.
Submit your application as instructed by the posting. If selected, you will complete onboarding and then begin assigned tasks within 24, 48 hours of onboarding completion. Be prepared to meet the minimum weekly submission requirements and to produce task-based deliverables that conform to project specifications.
