Apply mechanical CAD expertise to help improve AI systems using detailed, real-world engineering assemblies. You will analyze native FreeCAD assembly files and produce precise technical assessment materials that reflect sound engineering practice.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze multi-part mechanical assemblies in native FreeCAD files, including component relationships and design intent.
- Create several detailed, objective, and non-guessable question-and-answer sets for each assigned assembly.
- Develop questions covering mechanical function, design rationale, and dimensional considerations.
- Format questions and answers clearly and unambiguously, aligned with real-world engineering standards.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed project parameters and communicate promptly with project coordinators.
- Use written and verbal communication to resolve ambiguities and collaborate with a distributed team.
- Background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or industrial design, with strong applied CAD knowledge.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex mechanical assemblies and engineering drawings.
- Experience with FreeCAD is preferred; experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor is also valuable.
- Ability to write clear, precise, objective technical documentation or assessment materials.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, technical accuracy, and objectivity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical insights for varied audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, and adapt to changing project requirements in a remote setting.
