Role Overview
Apply native-level Javanese expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality language input, evaluation, and feedback. This remote contract role focuses on accurate, culturally grounded Javanese language work; prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localize documents, content, and communications to and from Javanese with cultural and contextual accuracy.
- Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance to maintain high language standards.
- Advise cross-functional teams on Javanese language nuances.
- Develop, edit, and proofread Javanese written materials for a range of projects.
- Help create glossaries, style guides, and best practices for Javanese-language work.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate remotely with global team members to support effective communication and project progress.
Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Javanese, including a strong understanding of regional dialects and variations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Javanese and English.
- Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
- Deep cultural understanding of, and sensitivity to, Javanese-speaking communities.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and language software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
- Professional experience supporting language or localization initiatives.
- Familiarity with project-management tools and agile methodologies.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $45 to $95 per hour.
