Role Overview
Apply native Gikuyu language expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, culturally relevant linguistic input. This remote contract role focuses on translation, content quality, annotation, and language analysis. No previous AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate written materials between English and Gikuyu while maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Review and edit Gikuyu content for grammar, style, tone, clarity, consistency, and integrity.
- Assess, annotate, and evaluate text data to support AI model development.
- Provide linguistic insights, recommendations, and feedback on language tools and resources.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to deliver high-quality work.
- Contribute to localization, data annotation, linguistic analysis, and other language-focused projects.
Qualifications
- Native Gikuyu proficiency with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong English proficiency, including professional writing and editing skills.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and editing written content.
- Demonstrated ability to translate between English and Gikuyu.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with linguistic data annotation or localization projects.
- Knowledge of linguistic principles or computational linguistics.
- Familiarity with AI technologies or digital content platforms.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $30 to $80 per hour.
