Mandarin Translator for AI Model Training

Provide high-quality Mandarin-English language expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems, by delivering accurate translation, interpretation, and culturally informed language review for business contexts. This is a remote, contract role that values domain language skills and real-world language experience over prior AI background.

• Translate and interpret between Mandarin and English with nuance and accuracy across business documents, presentations, and conversations.
• Review, edit, and proofread written materials to ensure linguistic quality and cultural relevance.
• Facilitate clear verbal and written communication between teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Support localization of documents, marketing materials, and presentations for Mandarin-speaking audiences.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent messaging and high communication standards.
• Monitor linguistic trends and terminology relevant to the region and industry.
• Act as a cultural liaison to help the team navigate cross-cultural nuances and improve engagement.

• Required
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin, both written and spoken.
  • Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proven experience in translation, interpretation, or other professional language services.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on linguistic accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, proactive in communication.
• Preferred
  • Experience supporting cross-border teams or international business operations.
  • Familiarity with terminology in technology, finance, or marketing.
  • Certification in translation or language services.

Pay range: $45 to $95 per hour.
