French Transcription Specialist for AI Training

Apply expert French language and transcription skills to refine machine-generated transcripts, add precise metadata and annotations, and help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor role focuses on delivering accurate, well-tagged French transcripts, identifying dialectal and audio nuances, and improving dataset quality used to train and evaluate language models. Prior AI experience is not required, domain-level transcription expertise is what matters.

• Review and correct French transcriptions to ensure accuracy and linguistic integrity of machine-generated outputs.
• Apply comprehensive metadata tags and detailed linguistic annotations to transcripts to support advanced data use cases.
• Analyze audio content to identify nuances, dialects, speaker characteristics, and errors missed by automated tools.
• Collaborate with the customer team to uphold quality standards and achieve project objectives.
• Provide clear written feedback and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all transcription and annotation tasks.
• Adhere to project timelines and consistently deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

• Fluency in French (France), with exceptional comprehension and expressive skills.
• Proven transcription experience, including correcting and refining machine-generated transcripts.
• Experience applying metadata tags and performing linguistic annotation.
• Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French, and professional-level English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor capacity while staying aligned with the customer team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Background as an audio engineer, data annotator, or professional transcriber.
• Familiarity with language technologies and machine learning data workflows.
• Experience working in multicultural or distributed remote teams.

Engagement type, contractor. Remote work. Project-based transcription and annotation assignments, with expectations to meet established quality standards and deadlines. Independent contractor relationship, responsible for managing your own work schedule within project requirements.

$10.00 to $25.00 per hour, paid on an hourly basis.
