Tamil Transcriptionist for AI Training

Role Overview

Help improve AI systems through precise Tamil-language transcription, linguistic annotation, and high-quality review of audio content. This remote contract role focuses on accurately capturing spoken Tamil, including dialect and accent nuances, while supporting digital content enrichment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to Tamil audio and produce accurate written transcriptions that faithfully represent spoken language.
• Review, proofread, and edit transcriptions for consistency, grammar, accuracy, and compliance with project guidelines.
• Annotate linguistic features and audio nuances when required by project specifications.
• Identify and flag unclear audio, inconsistencies, or discrepancies for further review.
• Work with project coordinators, providing feedback and clarifications in writing and verbally.
• Complete assigned transcription work by agreed deadlines and adapt to changing project needs.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Tamil proficiency, including strong understanding of varied dialects and accents.
• Experience with audio transcription or linguistic annotation, ideally in digital projects.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Familiarity with transcription software and digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments efficiently, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Interest in language, linguistics, and innovative technology solutions.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $10 to $24 per hour.
