Role Overview

Lead external storytelling and media strategy for a leading AI data lab, shaping how the company is understood across press, partners, customers, and the broader AI ecosystem. This role owns product launch communications, company announcements, executive thought leadership, and media relations to build trust, credibility, and visibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the companys external communications and public relations strategy.
  • Develop messaging and collateral for product launches, partnerships, company announcements, and executive communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, creators, analysts, and industry influencers, securing earned media across digital, print, broadcast, podcasts, and social channels.
  • Position company leaders through interviews, speaking engagements, bylines, and other media opportunities.
  • Prepare and coach executives, providing messaging, briefing materials, and media training.
  • Manage external PR agencies and communications partners, including vendor relationships and performance oversight.
  • Lead crisis and rapid-response communications when required.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience leading communications or PR for high-growth technology companies.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success securing top-tier media coverage and building lasting press relationships.
  • Experience leading communications for product launches and major company announcements.
  • Strong strategic judgment, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Required skills noted in source materials include PR, vendor management, partnerships, and communications strategy.
  • Preferred experience includes AI, developer tools, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS, familiarity with AI and emerging technologies, experience working with distributed teams, and crisis communications experience.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: Full-time.

Compensation
  • Advertised compensation: 250000 - 400000 yearly.
  • Company notice lists a national base salary range of 150000 - 200000 for this full-time position. Both figures were provided in source materials.
  • All employees are eligible for equity compensation.
  • Employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies.
