Role Overview
Apply public safety communications expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through realistic, high-quality input on real-time request coordination, routing, triage, and protocol-driven decision-making. This remote contract opportunity is suited to experienced dispatchers and coordinators across 911, police, ambulance, emergency, and fire services. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage incoming incident and service requests, assigning priority based on established criteria.
- Route requests to the appropriate resources or agencies through clear, efficient simulated radio, phone, and digital chat communications.
- Manage multiple communication channels at once while relaying critical information accurately and promptly.
- Use standardized protocols and checklists to deliver consistent responses.
- Document scenarios and decision rationale for AI training datasets.
- Provide insight on workflow optimization, escalation procedures, and multi-channel coordination in public safety settings.
- Participate in periodic feedback reviews to improve training-data relevance and quality.
Qualifications
- Experience as a dispatcher or coordinator in a public safety environment, such as 911, police, ambulance, emergency, or fire services.
- Ability to prioritize and triage requests under pressure.
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills in fast-paced situations.
- Experience using radio, phone, and digital chat communication channels.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous communication streams while remaining calm, focused, and detail-oriented.
- Working knowledge of standard operating procedures, checklists, and escalation protocols used in public safety communications.
- Familiarity with documenting incident details, actions taken, and decision rationale.
Work Terms
- Remote, contractor engagement.
- Work is output-based, and task completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks submitted each week.
- Selected candidates are expected to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
Compensation
$30 to $55 per hour. Payment is made per task that meets project specifications.
