French Linguist

Apply advanced French language skills and cultural insight to help teams communicate clearly and authentically across multilingual projects in a flexible remote contract role.

You will support translation, localization, cultural adaptation, and high-quality written and verbal communication for a range of business needs.

• Provide expert French-language support for translation, localization, and cultural adaptation.
• Review, edit, and proofread documents for grammatical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and diverse teams to enable effective communication.
• Create and refine language guidelines, terminology databases, and style guides.
• Advise on linguistic nuance and best practices for written and spoken communication.
• Participate in training sessions on French-language usage and intercultural communication.
• Stay current on French linguistic trends, terminology, and standards.

• Native or near-native French fluency, including strong grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
• Background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Ability to tailor language to different contexts, audiences, and purposes.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

• Experience working with international or multilingual teams.
• Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools and language technology.
• Experience training or coaching others on language and communication practices.

• Remote contract engagement.

• $10 to $25 per hour.
