Role Overview
Apply advanced French language expertise and cultural insight to support multilingual projects, strengthen communication across diverse teams, and ensure authentic written and spoken French in a flexible remote contract role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert French language support for translation, localization, and cultural-adaptation needs.
- Review, edit, and proofread materials for grammatical and linguistic accuracy while maintaining the intended brand voice.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enable clear, effective communication.
- Create, improve, and implement language guidelines, terminology databases, and style guides.
- Advise on linguistic nuances and best practices for written and verbal communication.
- Lead or contribute to training that improves French language use and intercultural communication.
- Stay current on French language trends, terminology, and standards.
- Native or near-native French fluency, including strong grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English.
- Background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
- Ability to adapt language for different contexts, audiences, and purposes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy and consistency.
- Effective organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Self-directed, proactive work style suited to a remote environment.
- Experience collaborating with international or multilingual teams.
- Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools and language technology.
- Experience training or coaching others on language and communication practices.
- Remote contract engagement.
