Role Overview
Apply your civil engineering expertise to help improve AI systems used in civil engineering contexts. You will evaluate technical content, answer domain-specific questions, and provide practical feedback that makes AI outputs more accurate, reliable, and useful.
Key Responsibilities
- Review written material and AI-generated civil engineering responses for accuracy and quality.
- Answer technical questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback grounded in professional experience.
- Identify useful reference materials relevant to civil engineering.
- Share practical insight into civil engineering tools, workflows, and day-to-day standards.
- Collaborate with a small cross-functional group of subject-matter experts.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified civil engineer with an active US Professional Engineer, PE, license.
- At least 2 years of professional civil engineering experience, ideally spanning more than one discipline such as structural, geotechnical, transportation, or water resources engineering.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including ASCE, IBC, and AASHTO.
- Experience with common engineering tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Technical specification, design report, or training-material writing experience is a plus.
- Comfort using everyday AI tools, such as ChatGPT or similar tools.
- Professional working English.
Work Terms
- Fully remote, hourly, part-time engagement based in the United States.
- Approximately 10 hours per week, with reliable weekly availability required.
- Opportunity for the engagement to continue and expand over time.
- W-2 employment, payroll, benefits, and compliance support are provided for the engagement.
Compensation
$65 to $90 per hour.
