Role Overview
Advance trustworthy AI for healthcare, clinical, and biomedical work by designing rigorous evaluation frameworks for medical reasoning, evidence synthesis, and healthcare decision support. This full-time, remote research role combines applied medical and health research with the development of benchmarks, quality standards, and evaluation methods for AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead evaluation frameworks for healthcare and medical AI, including benchmarks, scoring methods, clinical-quality rubrics, and validation protocols.
- Research medical reasoning, evidence-based decision-making, clinical workflows, and healthcare information synthesis.
- Create benchmark datasets and evaluation environments grounded in real-world healthcare and biomedical scenarios.
- Partner with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to assess and improve healthcare-focused AI systems.
- Analyze AI performance, safety considerations, reasoning quality, and failure patterns in medical use cases.
- Produce research reports, evaluation methodologies, and best-practice guidance.
- Stay current on medicine, healthcare delivery, biomedical research, and AI developments.
- Contribute to industry standards for healthcare AI evaluation and reliability.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a related healthcare discipline, such as an MD, DO, PhD, MPH, or PharmD.
- Deep expertise in clinical practice, healthcare operations, biomedical research, public health, healthcare analytics, or evidence-based medicine.
- Demonstrated experience conducting medical, clinical, or healthcare research.
- Strong understanding of research design, evidence evaluation, and healthcare decision-making processes.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills.
- Experience in multidisciplinary settings involving research, healthcare, technology, or policy stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital health, clinical decision-support systems, healthcare analytics, or health technology assessment.
- Familiarity with healthcare quality measurement, clinical guidelines, evidence synthesis, or healthcare benchmarking.
- Published research in medical, clinical, healthcare, or biomedical fields.
- Experience participating in clinical studies, systematic reviews, or healthcare evaluation initiatives.
Work Terms
- Full-time remote position.
Compensation
- Listed compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000 per year.
- National base-salary range stated for the full-time role: $200, 000 to $250, 000.
- All employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and applicable policies.
- Benefits include up to 100% reimbursement of health-insurance premiums, paid time off, and a 401(k).
