About this role

Role Overview

Advance trustworthy AI for healthcare, clinical, and biomedical workflows by creating rigorous methods to assess medical reasoning, evidence synthesis, and decision-support capabilities. This research-focused role helps define quality standards and evaluation approaches for healthcare-focused AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and own healthcare AI evaluation frameworks, including benchmarks, scoring methods, clinical-quality rubrics, and validation protocols.
  • Research medical reasoning, evidence-based decision-making, clinical workflows, and healthcare information synthesis.
  • Develop benchmark datasets and evaluation environments grounded in real-world healthcare and biomedical scenarios.
  • Partner with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to evaluate and improve healthcare AI systems.
  • Analyze performance, safety considerations, reasoning quality, and failure patterns in medical use cases.
  • Produce research reports, evaluation methodologies, and best-practice guidance.
  • Track developments in medicine, healthcare delivery, biomedical research, and AI.
  • Help develop industry standards for healthcare AI evaluation and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a related healthcare field, such as an MD, DO, PhD, MPH, or PharmD.
  • Deep expertise in clinical practice, healthcare operations, biomedical research, public health, healthcare analytics, or evidence-based medicine.
  • Demonstrated medical, clinical, or healthcare research experience.
  • Strong knowledge of research design, evidence evaluation, and healthcare decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary settings involving research, healthcare, technology, or policy stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital health, clinical decision-support systems, healthcare analytics, or health technology assessment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare quality measurement, clinical guidelines, evidence synthesis, or healthcare benchmarking.
  • Published research in medical, clinical, healthcare, or biomedical fields.
  • Experience contributing to clinical studies, systematic reviews, or healthcare evaluation initiatives.

Work Terms

  • Full-time, remote position.

Compensation

  • The listed compensation range is $400, 000 to $800, 000 per year.
  • The stated national base-salary range for this full-time role is $200, 000 to $250, 000.
  • Employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and applicable policies.
  • Benefits include up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, and a 401(k).
