Key Responsibilities- Define evaluation scope and standards for nuclear and radiological safety, nonproliferation, and security.
- Develop frameworks for safely abstracting sensitive or classified technical information in model training and documentation.
- Establish escalation thresholds and protocols for responding to nuclear security risks in research and operational settings.
- Provide expert guidance on benchmarking nuclear and radiological risk assessments and on effective nonproliferation safeguards.
- Review, refine, and validate technical guidelines for nuclear and radiological safety to support advanced-model training.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to balance security protections with legitimate scientific progress and policy objectives.
- Document best practices, decision rationales, and compliance considerations for information security in nuclear domains.
- Contribute domain-specific inputs that will be used to train and evaluate AI systems.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in nuclear physics, radiological safety, nonproliferation, or nuclear safeguards; senior contributors typically have 8 to 20 years of experience.
- Advanced degree, professional certification, or equivalent operational experience in nuclear or radiological fields.
- Experience with government agencies, national laboratories, regulatory bodies, or academic research related to nuclear security or policy is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of nonproliferation frameworks, international safeguards, and controls relevant to weapons or proliferation risks.
- Track record of credibility in nuclear or radiological safety communities and strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical topics.
- Experience contributing to or overseeing security evaluations, compliance protocols, or risk assessments within sensitive technical environments.
