Role Overview

Apply experimental chemistry expertise to design, run, and interpret wet-lab work that helps train next-generation AI systems for a leading customer in the scientific and research domain. You will produce clear, reproducible laboratory data and translate technical results into actionable insights that improve how AI models learn and reason. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments to support product development, quality control, or process optimization.
  • Design and interpret complex laboratory experiments involving chemical reactions, synthesis, and separation techniques.
  • Document laboratory methodologies, raw data, and findings clearly and accurately to ensure reproducibility and scientific integrity.
  • Critically evaluate experimental outcomes and recommend improvements or new investigative approaches.
  • Communicate results and recommendations effectively, in writing and verbally, to project stakeholders and non-specialist audiences.
  • Contribute domain-specific expertise to create and refine high-quality training data and to enhance AI systems reasoning capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Required skills: Chemistry, wet labs, critical thinking, chemical reactions.
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, PhD preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with wet lab techniques, experimental design, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and laboratory best practices.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and innovative problem-solving in research or applied chemistry settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary or cross-functional projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with quality control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines is desirable.

Compensation
  • Pay range: $70 to $90 per hour.
