Role Overview
Apply advanced wet-lab chemistry expertise to design, run, and interpret experiments that help train next-generation AI systems for a leading customer in the scientific and research domain. This remote contractor role focuses on converting real-world chemistry practice into high-quality training data and actionable insights. No prior AI experience is required; domain knowledge is the primary qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments to support product development, quality control, or process optimization.
- Design and interpret complex laboratory experiments involving chemical reactions, synthesis, and separation techniques.
- Document laboratory methodologies, experimental data, and findings clearly and accurately to ensure reproducibility and scientific integrity.
- Critically evaluate experimental outcomes and propose improvements or new investigative approaches.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively, providing written and verbal insights and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Translate complex chemistry concepts and experimental results into clear, actionable information for non-specialist audiences.
- Contribute domain-specific expertise to improve training datasets and the reasoning capabilities of AI systems.
- Advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, PhD preferred.
- Extensive hands-on experience with wet lab techniques, experimental design, and laboratory instrumentation.
- Deep understanding of chemical reactions, analytical chemistry, and laboratory best practices.
- Required skills: Chemistry, Wet Labs, Critical Thinking, Chemical Reactions.
- Proven critical thinking and innovative problem-solving in research or applied chemistry settings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with interdisciplinary projects or cross-functional collaboration is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines is a plus.
