Role Overview

Apply your chemistry expertise to design and evaluate high-quality content that helps train next-generation AI systems. This contractor role is remote, focused on translating academic chemistry knowledge into curated datasets, pedagogical materials, and expert feedback that improve AI model reasoning and performance. No prior AI experience is required.

Work with a leading AI data lab that partners with subject matter experts to produce training data, evaluations, and feedback for frontier models across domains such as STEM, healthcare, and finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, review, and refine chemistry content, problems, and real-world scenarios intended for AI training and evaluation.
  • Assess accuracy, relevance, and clarity of complex chemistry materials and proposed solutions.
  • Curate and annotate chemistry-related texts, questions, and datasets to support model training.
  • Apply pedagogical expertise to ensure materials are instructive and accessible for a range of learners.
  • Research and identify emerging trends or gaps in chemical education that can guide model improvement.
  • Participate in collaborative discussions, providing written and verbal feedback to advance project goals.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemistry, or near completion of a doctoral degree in Chemistry, ABD candidates considered.
  • Proven record of teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, with the ability to communicate chemistry concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in chemical research and scholarly publication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail in academic contexts.
  • Familiarity with current pedagogical strategies and curriculum design in chemistry education.
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams or contributing to educational projects.
  • Ability to work independently, manage assignments efficiently, and deliver high-quality results in a remote contractor capacity.
  • No prior experience in AI is required; domain expertise is the primary qualification.
