Role Overview
Apply advanced chemistry knowledge to design, evaluate, and refine high-quality chemistry content used to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on converting academic and pedagogical expertise into clear, accurate materials and feedback that shape how models learn, reason, and perform. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Design, review, and refine chemistry content, questions, and real-world scenarios intended for AI training and evaluation.
- Assess accuracy, relevance, and clarity of complex chemistry materials and proposed solutions, providing detailed written and verbal feedback.
- Curate and annotate chemistry-related texts, problems, and datasets to support model learning and evaluation workflows.
- Apply pedagogical experience to make materials instructive and accessible across different learner levels.
- Research and identify emerging trends or gaps in chemical education that can inform improvements to AI models and datasets.
- Participate in collaborative discussions with project stakeholders and interdisciplinary contributors to advance project goals.
- PhD in Chemistry, or near completion of a doctoral degree (ABD candidates considered).
- Proven record of teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, with the ability to explain chemistry concepts clearly.
- Experience in chemical research and scholarly publication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail in academic contexts.
- Familiarity with pedagogical strategies and curriculum design in chemistry education.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams or contributing to educational projects.
- Ability to work independently, manage assignments efficiently, and deliver high-quality results in a remote setting.

- Work will support an initiative run by an AI data lab focused on training and evaluating frontier models.
- Rate: $70.00 to $90.00 per hour.
- No prior experience in AI required, domain expertise in chemistry is the primary qualification.
