Role Overview

Apply advanced physics expertise to develop and review instructional and research content that helps train next generation AI systems. In this remote contractor role you will create, evaluate, and refine physics problems, solutions, and explanations across sub-disciplines, ensuring scientific accuracy and pedagogical clarity for use in model training and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review physics problems, worked solutions, and explanatory content across a broad range of sub-disciplines.
  • Analyze and evaluate AI model outputs for scientific validity, clarity, and educational value.
  • Provide high level feedback on complex research topics and theoretical concepts.
  • Assess and refine AI generated explanations for accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Collaborate remotely with project leads and other subject-matter experts to establish and standardize content review best practices.
  • Produce clear, concise written feedback and participate in asynchronous discussions about project progress and improvements.
  • Draw on teaching and research experience to ensure authenticity, rigor, and instructional quality in all deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Required skills, demonstrated through experience: physics, research, and teaching.
  • PhD in Physics is strongly preferred, alternatively advanced PhD candidates with substantial research and teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated expertise in theoretical and applied physics domains.
  • Track record of teaching, curriculum development, or mentoring in academic settings.
  • Experience publishing and critically reviewing scientific research is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Prior involvement with interdisciplinary projects or educational technology initiatives is a plus.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type, contractor status: this is a contract role performed as an independent contractor.
  • Location: fully remote collaboration.
  • Work is primarily asynchronous, with remote coordination alongside project leads and other experts.
  • No prior experience in AI is required, domain knowledge in physics is the primary qualification.
Compensation
  • Pay range: $70.00 to $90.00 per hour.
Eligibility
  • Candidates should be able to perform work as independent contractors and collaborate remotely.
