About this role

Role Overview

Help improve the safe handling of specialized scientific topics in Russian by advanced AI models. You will use PhD-level scientific expertise to assess model outputs, identify issues, and strengthen response quality across sensitive technical subject areas. Prior AI or machine learning experience is not required, as training on the workflow will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create expert-level Russian-language prompts covering specialized scientific topics.
  • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, usefulness, and appropriate treatment of sensitive content.
  • Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
  • Use scientific judgment to help improve how AI models address technical topics in Russian.

Qualifications

  • PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline, either in progress or completed.
  • Ability to develop prompts involving chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear subject areas.
  • Native or near-native Russian fluency and business-level written English.
  • Deep familiarity with current laboratory and computational methods in your scientific specialty.
  • Sound judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible treatment of dual-use information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residence in Eastern Europe or another region where Russian is widely spoken, though applicants based elsewhere are welcome.
  • Chemistry-based radiological or nuclear expertise, including radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.
  • Demonstrated depth in a focused specialty, such as organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.
  • Research or coursework in chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
  • Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.

Work Terms

  • Remote, hourly engagement.
  • Eastern Europe is preferred but not required.
  • Immediate start.

Compensation

$48 to $52 per hour.
