About this role

Help improve the safety and reliability of advanced AI systems by applying PhD-level scientific expertise to specialized technical content in Croatian. This role focuses on evaluating how models handle complex scientific topics, including sensitive and dual-use subject matter. Training on the workflow is provided, and prior AI or machine learning experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create expert-level Croatian prompts across specialized scientific subjects.
  • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, usefulness, and appropriate treatment of sensitive content.
  • Use structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
  • Apply scientific judgment to strengthen model performance on technical Croatian-language topics.
Qualifications
  • Ongoing or completed PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Scientific depth sufficient to develop prompts involving chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear subject areas.
  • Native or near-native Croatian fluency and business-level written English.
  • Strong familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
  • Sound judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred Background
  • Residence in Croatia or elsewhere in Eastern Europe is preferred, though applicants based in other locations are welcome.
  • Chemistry-based radiological or nuclear expertise, including radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.
  • Deep specialization in an area such as organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.
  • Research or coursework involving chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
  • Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
Work Terms
  • Remote, hourly engagement.

Compensation
  • $48 to $52 per hour.
