About this role

Role Overview

Help improve the safety of advanced AI models by applying PhD-level scientific expertise to specialized technical topics in Finnish. You will assess and strengthen how models respond to scientific content, including sensitive and dual-use subject matter. No prior AI or machine-learning experience is required, and training on the workflow will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create expert-level Finnish prompts across specialized scientific topics.
  • Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, usefulness, and appropriate treatment of sensitive content.
  • Use structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
  • Apply scientific expertise to improve model handling of specialized technical topics in Finnish.

Qualifications

  • PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field, either in progress or completed.
  • Native or near-native Finnish fluency and business-level written English.
  • Scientific depth to develop prompts involving chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear subject areas.
  • Strong familiarity with modern laboratory and computational methods relevant to your specialty.
  • Sound judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred Background

  • Based in Finland or elsewhere in Western Europe, though applicants located outside the region are welcome.
  • Chemistry experience involving radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.
  • Deep specialization in an area such as organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.
  • Research or coursework in chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
  • Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.

Work Terms

  • Remote, hourly engagement.
  • Immediate start.

Compensation

$61 to $65 per hour.
