Strategic Project Lead, JD Legal Expertise

Lead high-impact legal-domain data projects that help train and evaluate frontier AI models. You will serve as the primary contact for leading AI lab clients, manage teams of legal subject-matter experts and human-data leaders, and build scalable workflows that deliver accurate, high-quality data.

• Own complex projects from planning through delivery and maintain strong client satisfaction.
• Design, manage, and improve legal-domain data pipelines for efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and data integrity.
• Lead Human Data Managers and Leads who review work completed by legal subject-matter experts.
• Communicate directly with AI lab clients on large, high-impact initiatives.
• Partner with Human Data Engineers to define, monitor, and improve KPIs across expert-driven workflows.
• Provide executive-level updates on project status, data performance, and operational impact.
• Report to the CEO and Head of Human Data.

• Juris Doctor, JD, degree required.
• Exceptional stakeholder-management and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with senior legal experts.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience driving operational processes, managing large-scale or domain-intensive data projects, or optimizing complex workflows.
• Background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or substantial experience in the legal domain.
• Leadership and team-management capability, with experience in human-data operations.
• Entrepreneurial, startup-oriented mindset and a demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and execute solutions quickly in high-stakes settings.
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends, in a fast-moving startup environment.

• Full-time, remote position.

• Listed annual compensation range: $400, 000 to $550, 000.
• National base-salary range: $180, 000 to $230, 000 USD annually.
• Eligible for equity compensation and, depending on role and company policy, performance-based bonuses.
