Role Overview
Help ensure Telugu-language content is accurate, natural, and culturally appropriate across product, marketing, and documentation channels. This contract role focuses on translation, editing, localization guidance, and linguistic quality assurance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting.
Key Responsibilities- Review, edit, and translate content to and from Telugu, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
- Provide linguistic quality checks and consistency reviews across Telugu content.
- Develop and maintain Telugu glossaries, style guides, and best-practice documentation.
- Consult with cross-functional teams on language requirements for communications, documentation, and marketing materials.
- Support localization initiatives and advise on tone, idioms, and regional differences.
- Conduct linguistic assessments and ongoing quality assurance of Telugu outputs.
- Support training and onboarding of colleagues on Telugu language standards and nuances.
- Monitor trends in Telugu usage and recommend improvements to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Telugu, both written and verbal.
- Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic review.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Solid understanding of Telugu cultural norms, idioms, and regional variation.
- Proficiency with standard office software and common language tools.
- Preferred: experience in international or cross-cultural professional environments, familiarity with digital content creation and editing tools, or a background in linguistics, communications, or a related field.
