Apply your software engineering expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world technical input. This remote contractor opportunity focuses on improving how AI models learn, reason, and perform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize backend and frontend systems using Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Develop and integrate secure, efficient RESTful APIs across distributed systems.
- Model, query, and maintain SQL databases that support scalable, high-performance applications.
- Apply clean-code practices through unit testing, code reviews, Git workflows, and CI/CD delivery processes.
- Collaborate in Agile teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software and system issues.
- Contribute to architecture decisions involving scalability, maintainability, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud deployment practices.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, with strong Java, JavaScript, and Python expertise.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, system design, and software architecture.
- Experience with SQL databases, API integrations, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Git, version-control workflows, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, unit testing, debugging, and maintainable code.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build scalable, high-performance software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document and explain technical concepts.
- Preferred: experience with modern frontend frameworks or full-stack development, code reviews, and technical mentorship.

Compensation
The listing states hourly compensation ranges of $50 to $100 per hour and $30 to $80 per hour.
