Role Overview
Build production-ready fullstack systems that power internal workflows, platform capabilities, and AI-powered products. This remote, early-career opportunity offers increasing ownership of critical systems while working closely with experienced engineers across engineering, operations, recruiting, product, and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to end-to-end design and development of fullstack systems supporting critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
- Build maintainable backend services and APIs using scalable engineering practices.
- Develop high-quality frontend experiences for internal teams and end users.
- Support data modeling, schema design, database optimization, and query-performance work.
- Turn cross-functional ideas into reliable, production-ready features.
- Improve quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Help investigate production issues and develop resilient, observable systems.
- Make thoughtful tradeoffs among delivery speed, scalability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, with recent graduates and soon-to-graduate candidates eligible.
- Internship, co-op, research, or meaningful personal or project experience building software applications.
- Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript fundamentals.
- Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks, Node.js backend development, PostgreSQL, relational data modeling, RESTful APIs, Git, and modern development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving ability, curiosity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.
- Interest in learning quickly and contributing in a fast-moving engineering environment.
- Preferred: NestJS; AWS, GCP, or Azure; CI/CD, deployment pipelines, or DevOps fundamentals; microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems; AI-powered products, workflow automation, or data-intensive applications; and team projects, hackathons, open-source work, startup experience, internships, or professional engineering experience.
Work Terms
- Full-time, remote role.
Compensation
- The listing references compensation of $180, 000 to $250, 000 per year.
- It also states a national base-salary range of $110, 000 to $150, 000 USD for the full-time position.
- Eligible employees may receive equity compensation and role-dependent, policy-based performance bonuses.
