Role Overview
Apply hands-on Shopify and e-commerce expertise to improve AI training data for a customer project focused on e-commerce workflows and analytics. You will help ensure that AI systems learn from realistic platform workflows, accurate data models, and practical operator and analyst perspectives. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review proposed Shopify and e-commerce task structures and identify departures from real platform workflows and data models.
- Provide clear, actionable written and verbal feedback on the realism and completeness of analytical scenarios and deliverables.
- Advise on core Shopify data objects, including orders, products, customers, and reporting, so analytical tasks reflect real-world use.
- Identify gaps, edge cases, and unrealistic assumptions using direct hands-on experience.
- Recommend improvements to task structures, terminology, and metrics based on Shopify and e-commerce best practices.
- Validate that terminology and definitions align with standard Shopify and e-commerce analytics language.
- Suggest additional cases and refinements that better represent operator and analyst perspectives.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of deep, hands-on Shopify experience in store operations, development, or analytics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Shopify''s data model, including orders, products, customers, and reporting.
- Strong e-commerce analytics knowledge, including conversion, retention, cohort, and revenue metrics.
- Experience providing high-quality written and verbal feedback.
- Direct experience advising on best practices for structuring Shopify-related analytical work.
- Experience across multiple Shopify stores or as a consultant or agency professional is preferred.
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus, advanced reporting, SQL, or BI tools such as Looker is a plus.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
- Expected commitment of approximately 5 to 10 hours per week.
Compensation
$60 to $100 per hour.
