Role Overview
Lead the evaluation and strategic guidance of AI tools that will transform end-to-end revenue cycle management. This role leverages deep executive experience in revenue cycle operations, payer contracting, financial performance management, and team leadership to validate AI analyses, shape improvement strategies, and ensure practical, measurable outcomes across healthcare organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive-level oversight and strategic direction for end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including patient access, coding, billing, denials, and collections.
- Evaluate AI-generated revenue cycle performance analyses, strategic recommendations, and operational improvement plans for accuracy, feasibility, and clinical and financial impact.
- Assess AI tools aimed at automating revenue cycle workflows, identifying revenue leakage, and optimising payer reimbursement.
- Define, monitor, and interpret enterprise revenue cycle KPIs, including net collection rate, days in A/R, denial rate, cost-to-collect, and cash collections performance.
- Develop and implement revenue cycle improvement strategies that align with organisational financial goals.
- Lead managed care contracting strategy and payer relationship management efforts.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, compliance, and IT leadership to align revenue cycle initiatives with broader organisational priorities.
- Present revenue cycle performance, strategies, and outcomes to executive leadership, boards, and investors.
- Annotate AI outputs and deliver structured, strategic feedback to support AI training datasets and continuous model improvement.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive revenue cycle leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a VP, Senior Director, or equivalent executive role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue cycle functions.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L oversight, budget management, and financial performance reporting.
- Proven track record leading large-scale revenue cycle transformation initiatives in health systems, hospitals, or physician group settings.
- Deep familiarity with managed care contracting, payer relations, and reimbursement optimisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience.
- Ability to synthesise complex revenue cycle performance data and AI-generated outputs into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- HFMA Fellow (FHFMA), CHFP, or CRCR certification.
- Experience with RCM technology platforms and large-scale EHR implementations.
- Background in private equity-backed healthcare organizations, large health systems, or multi-site physician enterprises.
- Familiarity with AI tools, and demonstrated comfort evaluating AI-generated revenue cycle strategy content.
- Experience leading multi-site or multi-entity revenue cycle consolidation or integration initiatives.

Pay rate: $162 per hour.
