About this role
Help evaluate and improve next-generation AI coding tools by building and testing within a modern Go environment. This remote, part-time contract role combines hands-on backend development, rigorous debugging, and direct feedback on confidential early-stage AI models.
Key Responsibilities- Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints using Go.
- Perform data validation and implement comprehensive error handling.
- Execute database migrations and support performance optimization.
- Test and evaluate alpha-stage AI models in Cursor through multiple four-day testing bursts, with at least five hours of work per day.
- Document incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed reports, bug traces, and annotated screenshots.
- Share timely feedback and technical insights with the research team through Slack.
- Complete structured surveys after each testing burst covering model usability and overall impressions.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Golang Developer.
- Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development best practices.
- Experience using AI-powered coding tools, ideally Cursor.
- Experience with data validation, robust error handling, and complex debugging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for hands-on coding, rapid prototyping, and technical exploration.
- Ability to thoroughly document findings while protecting confidential information.
- Public open-source contributions, such as notable GitHub repositories or stars.
- Experience evaluating technical products or performing developer-tool quality assurance.
- Interest in mentoring and sharing insights with high-trust research teams.
- Remote, part-time contract engagement.
- Testing work is organized into multiple four-day bursts requiring 5+ hours per day.
- $30 to $90 per hour.
