Build scalable Java backend systems while contributing real-world technical expertise that helps improve how next-generation AI systems learn, reason, and perform. This remote contract role does not require prior AI experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect robust microservices solutions for complex application requirements.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to review technical specifications and deliver high-quality code.
- Provide technical insight to improve application performance, reliability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peers.
- Document technical processes and solutions clearly and concisely.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems as needed.
- Expert proficiency in Java.
- Hands-on Spring Boot backend development experience.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend development best practices.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with AI-driven or data-intensive projects.
- Experience with high-availability or distributed systems.
