Java Developer

Role Overview

Apply Java backend expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world technical input. This remote contract role focuses on shaping how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect robust microservices solutions for complex application requirements.
• Work with the customer team to review technical specifications and deliver high-quality code.
• Provide expert input to improve application performance, reliability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
• Document technical processes and solutions clearly and concisely.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems as needed.

Qualifications

• Expert proficiency in Java.
• Hands-on Spring Boot backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with AI-driven or data-intensive projects.
• Background in high-availability or distributed systems.

Work Terms

• Remote contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $30 to $90 per hour.
