Police Dispatcher for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply your 911 dispatch expertise to help train and evaluate AI systems for emergency response and real-time communications. You will contribute high-quality, real-world input that improves how models reason, communicate, and respond in simulated or real-world emergency scenarios. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and triage incoming requests accurately in high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
• Monitor and manage radio, phone, and digital communication channels simultaneously.
• Use APCO or NENA protocols to assess, document, and route incidents according to established procedures.
• Provide clear, concise, accurate written and verbal responses during fast-paced emergency scenarios.
• Provide detailed feedback on incident handling, decisions, and escalation processes for AI evaluation and development.
• Develop typical and edge-case dispatch scenarios, including recommended response protocols.
• Review and annotate transcripts and incident logs for clarity and training-data accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of active experience as a police dispatcher, coordinator, or equivalent emergency communications professional.
• Demonstrated skill in prioritization, multitasking, and rapid decision-making in high-stress settings.
• APCO and/or NENA certification is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with dispatch protocols, CAD systems, and modern emergency communications technology.
• Experience documenting and communicating procedures for training or quality assurance.
• A detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative approach to remote, project-based work.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $30 to $65 per hour.
