Role Overview

Advance AI-powered financial reasoning by designing rigorous ways to measure and improve how models and agentic systems perform across complex enterprise finance workflows. This full-time research role combines large language models, agentic systems, and finance expertise to shape the next generation of enterprise AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, own, and improve evaluation frameworks for AI agents in financial domains, including benchmark suites, scoring methods, quality rubrics, and research-grade evaluation protocols.
  • Conduct applied research on financial reasoning, decision-making, and workflow automation, translating findings into measurable AI performance improvements.
  • Develop and curate datasets, test cases, and benchmark environments that reflect real-world enterprise finance challenges.
  • Partner with AI researchers, machine learning engineers, and product teams to evaluate, validate, and improve finance-focused models and agentic systems.
  • Analyze model behavior, failure modes, and performance trends to produce actionable insights and inform research priorities.
  • Produce internal research findings, technical reports, and best practices that deepen understanding of AI capabilities in finance.
  • Apply emerging advances in AI, machine learning, financial modeling, evaluation science, and agent architectures to research initiatives.
  • Help establish research standards and thought leadership for enterprise financial intelligence and AI evaluation.
  • Promote scientific rigor, experimentation, and collaborative innovation in a distributed research environment.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related field. A PhD is strongly preferred; an MBA, CFA, or equivalent expertise will also be considered.
  • Deep expertise in at least one finance area, such as investment research, capital markets, risk management, corporate finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting rigorous research, developing analytical methods, or building evaluation frameworks in finance or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous real-world financial problems into measurable research questions and evaluation criteria.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking ability, with experience solving complex multidisciplinary problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing research reports, technical documentation, or thought leadership content.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
  • Relevant skills include financial research, enterprise AI benchmarking, and agentic finance workflows.

Compensation

  • Annual compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000.
