About this role

Role Overview

Apply advanced mathematics expertise to review, generate, and improve mathematical content that trains and benchmarks next-generation AI systems. This contractor role focuses on producing rigorous solutions, proofs, and technical explanations, annotating domain-specific datasets, and delivering clear, actionable feedback on model outputs in a fully remote setting. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, evaluate, and generate solutions to advanced mathematical problems across pure and applied mathematics.
  • Write detailed, well-structured explanations, formal proofs, and technical analyses for a range of mathematical topics.
  • Assess the accuracy, clarity, and rigor of mathematical outputs produced by AI systems and provide actionable feedback to improve them.
  • Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets to support model training and benchmarking.
  • Document technical methodologies and present complex ideas clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Collaborate with a remote team of subject matter experts across diverse mathematical disciplines.
  • Translate complex mathematical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences as required.
  • Independently manage deliverables and timelines in a fully remote engagement.
Qualifications
  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring research papers, mathematical proofs, or technical reports.
  • Required skills: advanced mathematics, mathematical proof writing, technical report writing, data annotation, and mathematical problem-solving.
  • Experience reviewing or critiquing mathematical reasoning, logic, or computational solutions.
  • Strong clarity in written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas to varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with current trends, open problems, or applications in mathematics and related fields is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote, contractor capacity.
Work Terms
