Role Overview

Apply advanced mathematics expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through rigorous problem solving, clear technical explanations, and detailed feedback. This remote contractor role focuses on transforming real-world mathematical knowledge into high-quality training data, evaluations, and benchmarks. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and produce solutions for advanced pure and applied mathematics problems.
• Develop detailed, well-structured explanations, proofs, and technical analyses across mathematical topics.
• Assess AI-generated mathematical work for accuracy, clarity, and rigor, then provide actionable improvement feedback.
• Create and annotate high-quality, domain-specific datasets for model training and benchmarking.
• Document technical methods and communicate complex mathematical ideas clearly in writing and conversation.
• Collaborate remotely with subject matter experts across mathematical disciplines.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
• Advanced mathematics and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Experience authoring research papers, mathematical proofs, or technical reports.
• Ability to review or critique mathematical reasoning, logic, or computational solutions.
• Experience with data annotation and translating complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with clarity and precision.
• Familiarity with current mathematical trends, open problems, or applications in related fields.
• Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.

Work Terms

Compensation

$20 to $40 per hour.
