Role Overview
Use your Korean and English language expertise to create high-quality training data that helps train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. You will transcribe and translate multimedia content, analyze speaker tone and intent with cultural awareness, and ensure linguistic fidelity across both languages. No prior experience in AI is required, domain knowledge in language and communication is the key contribution. This work supports micro1, an AI data lab focused on converting subject matter expertise into training data and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Transcribe and translate video content accurately between Korean and English, including thorough time-stamping of segments.
- Analyze and describe the emotional tone, speaker intent, and nuanced communicative signals, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
- Evaluate and ensure grammatical, syntactic, and structural fidelity in Korean and English outputs.
- Clarify and interpret complex or nuanced terminology, conveying conceptual meaning precisely.
- Perform advanced linguistic tasks such as tone analysis and contextual interpretation for multimedia projects.
- Collaborate on diverse language and communication tasks as project requirements evolve.
- Consistently deliver high-quality, reliable results within agreed timelines, maintaining at least a 15 hour per week commitment.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Korean and English, with strong, articulate communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis involving Korean and English content.
- Ability to discern emotional nuance, speaker intent, and tone across varied content types.
- Keen attention to grammatical detail, linguistic structure, and contextual accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and resourceful working remotely, while maintaining clear and open communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic background or degree in linguistics, translation, communications, or a closely related field.
- Experience with complex language projects, transcription work, or multimedia content analysis.
- Familiarity with digital transcription software and language tooling.
- Employment type: Contract, remote.
- Minimum commitment: At least 15 hours per week, with the expectation of meeting agreed project timelines.
- Independent, remote work environment, requiring reliable self-direction and communication.
- Pay rate: $20 to $65 per hour.
- Fluency in Korean and English is required.
- No prior AI experience required; relevant domain expertise in language and communication is sufficient.
